Farewell Lunch for Ruiqin

Today is our colleague, Ruiqin's last day with the company. She will be going back to Malaysia for good. Therefore, we ordered pizza and bought her a bouquet of flower plus a gift.

Mothers' Day Celebration @ 忽必烈

This year's Mothers Day falls on the 10th May 2009, which is a Sunday. On the actual day, the whole Aw family will be having a gathering with my Grandma. Therefore, we had our mini celebration a day earlier, which is on the 9th May 2009, Saturday.

Prior to this day, I have made a reservation at the 忽必烈 restaurant at Park Mall. This is the first time i visited this restaurant. I got the contact from my colleague, and another colleague of mine said that the food is nice and so I decided to have a try there.

Erm, maybe different people have different expectation. I personally do not like the food. In fact, I feel that it is not value for money. I paid around $200++ for this meal, but ................. Nvm, next time just don't go again.

After dinner, we headed home for the cake cutting session. Look at this, mum is smiling so happily.
小姐姐，有没有羡慕呢？ We had so much fun on that day.

Our Ipoh Trip

We left Sinapore at Friday morning 1 am. The traffic on the road was not as bad as we thought it would be. But before we set off, we check uo one motoring website and saw that woodlands checkpoint was in a bad jam. We decided to pay more $$$ and used the tuas check point.

We reach Ipoh around 6.30 am. This time, it was the fastest trip. We reach within 5 1/2 hours. After we reached, we went to have ba ku tea for breakfast. For lunch, we ate at Wolly. After that, we headed home and slept till dinner time. We woke up to have dinner and headed to First Garden Pasar Malam. When we reached there, it started to rain. However, since we are already there, we took an umbrella and walked in the rain. ROmatic right? Haha.

The next day, was nothing special. We woke up, have breakfast, watched dramas and visited Vincci. This is my faviourite shop in Ipoh. I love the shoes there. This time round, I spent about 1 hour there browsing around. After some trying, I bought these 2 pairs of shoes.



How? Do they look nice? I think the 2nd pair looks better. But nevertheless, I love both pairs. For dinner, we ate a zi char store. The asam fish tastes marvellous. Really rhumbs up for theat meal. Must eat there again when we are back to Ipoh.

Its a real short trip. The next day, we started preparing and left for Singapore.
